opaque Semi-opaque Semi-transparent Transparent

Lightfasteness

This describes the durability of a colour in daylight. A number of influencing factors play a role too, like intensity of sunlight, temperature, moisture, oxygen or gas content of the air.

COVER

The 42 high-quality body Cover tempera-gouaches retain the best qualities of traditional gouaches and temperas while expanding the range and versatility of each colour. Exclusive binder provides more pigment in every brushstroke, offering a remarkable intensity, strength and silkiness. The unique body Cover tempera-gouaches formulation accentuates the luminosity and brilliance of high quality artist’s dry pigments even after drying. An essential aspect of gouache body colour is its opacity and we obtain this through a higher proportion of pigment, their naturally opacity is not additionally reinforced by adding white. Due to their deep, opaque effect and vibrant intensity they offer a different, complementary modes of artistic expression: the Intense Water transparent watercolour series allows the paper to show through, while the body colours Cover tempera gouaches create flat, deep and uniform areas of colour. The paints offer a wide range of possibilities for combining with Intense Water watercolour paints and watercolours in pans, enabling a smooth fusion of both colour ranges. The paint film in Cover tempera gouaches needs to be thicker and more flexible than that of watercolour so it was obtain by using best resins and raw materials. Another important aspect of this range is its ability to flow, so despite their opacity they can be used thinly, in transparent or semi -transparent washes. Thanks to the highest concentration of pigments, the Cover tempera-gouaches ensure luminosity and depth in all shades. They can be mixed and combined with other Gouache range and Tempera One line from Renesans and can be reactivated and reworked on various absorbent surfaces such as paper, cardboard, and canvas. Tempera Cover gouache paints are available in 20 ml tubes, and Titanium White and Vine Black are also produced in 60 ml tubes as well as in assorted sets in 20 and 60 ml.
