DECO’ Glass Paints

The DECO’ range of transparent stained glass paints for glass consists of 13 transparent and 3 opaque colours, all of which can be mixed together. The glass surface to be decorated must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased with a small amount of alcohol or acetone. It is recommended to decorate the surface in a horizontal position to avoid paint dripping.

The drying process of DECO’ paints is considerably slower than that of most glass paints available on the market. Drying time depends on the thickness of the applied layer and is a minimum of 48 hours. In an oven at approximately 60°C, the paint crystallizes slightly faster. To improve resistance to weather conditions, it is recommended to apply a layer of final varnish No. 200 onto COMPLETELY dry paint layers (even after 1 month).

However, an additional layer of DECO’ paint must not be applied onto already dried paint, as this may cause the previous layer to lift. The lightfastness of the dyes used is very high, although it largely depends on the paint concentration. Therefore, paint used in its original consistency is more durable than paint diluted with medium or thinner, and thicker layers are more resistant than very thin applications.

The slow drying process results from the alcohol content and positively affects the even flow of paint within the contour while eliminating streaks.

To clean decorated surfaces, use a damp cloth only. Avoid detergents and cleaning agents containing solvents.
